TOP 5 DATING MISTAKES THAT DRIVE WOMEN AWAY

There are many things that may turn off a particular woman but may be acceptable to another, while on a date. And then there are some dating mistakes that turn off all women alike, with equal strength. Here are top five dating mistakes that you don't want to commit if you want to see her again:

1. Asking her to pay
Women hate to be asked to pay for a date. More often than not, the gen x women themselves insist on going dutch these days but they consider it insulting to be asked to pay. So even if the date has been almost perfect till the bill landed on the table, asking her to pay has the potential to turn the evening upside down.

2. Complete lack of chivalry
Yes! It's true. Women love guys who open the doors for them and not only drop them home but also walk them up to their flat. And they hate guys who think ten times about dropping a woman even late in the night and grab the first drink that comes on the table. So, brush up on your chivalry quotient before you ask a real woman out on a date.

3. Your narcissistic and loud behavior
Do you order food you like without asking for her preferences? Do you keep yapping about how cool you are and how you have the perfect high powered job, car, family, home and so on instead of trying to get to know her better? Do you constantly show off you expensive possessions? Do you fuss about what you must eat and how you are served? If yes, you have painted yourself as a complete self centered narcissist who loves to show off. And women hate men who are so obsessed with themselves.

4. Bad listening skills
Conversation is a two-way process. She is here to chat up with you and not listen to a radio transmission about you where there is no space for her to contribute. So you better listen up to what she is saying, because she may be revealing the path to her heart. If you are talking and talking alone, you will miss the directions!

5. Being bitchy about your ex girlfriend
If you talk about your ex girlfriend/s in the negative light once too often and go on about where they went wrong, you will put your current date in danger. This is because women hate men who can't respect women and relationships. And anyway, your current date's point of view may not match with yours, in which case you will only ensure that she never meets you again. Which does not mean you go on praising your ex girlfriend; its best to avoid talking about her altogether.

Have a nice day,

The Movie Encyclopedia

The Movie Encyclopedia

There are some things in life that you would never know if it
weren't for Hollywood.

A great movie – "The Family Man"
Every married man with kids should see this.

Without The Movies you wouldn't know this:

** During all police investigations, it will be necessary to
visit a strip club at least once.

** When they are alone, all foreigners prefer to speak
English to each other.

** If being chased through town, you can usually take cover
in a passing St. Patrick's Day parade - at any time of year.

** All beds have special L-shaped cover sheets which reach
up to the armpit level on a woman but only to the waist level
on the man lying beside her.

** The Chief of Police will almost always suspend his star
detective - or give him 48 hours to finish the job.

** All grocery bags contain at least one stick of French
Bread.

** It's easy for anyone to land a plane providing there is
someone to talk you down.

** The ventilation system of any building is the perfect
hiding place - no one will ever think of looking for you in
there and you can travel to any other part of the building
undetected.

** Police departments give their officers personality tests to
make sure they are deliberately assigned to a partner who is
their polar opposite.

** The Eiffel Tower can be seen from any window in Paris.

** All bombs are fitted with electronic timing devices with
large red readouts so you know exactly when they are going
to go off.

** If you need to reload your gun, you will always have
more ammunition, even if you haven't been carrying any
before now.

** You are very likely to survive any battle in any war
unless you make the mistake of showing someone a picture
of your sweetheart back home.

** Should you wish to pass yourself off as a German officer,
it will not be necessary to speak the language - a German
accent will do.

** If your town is threatened by an imminent natural disaster
or killer beast, the mayor's first concern will be the tourist
trade or his forthcoming art exhibition.

** A man will show no pain while taking the most ferocious
beating but will wince when a woman tries to clean his
wounds.

** When paying for a taxi, don't look at your wallet as you
take out a bill - just grab one at random and hand it over. It
will always be the exact fare.

** Kitchens don't have light switches. When entering a
kitchen at night, you should open the fridge door and use that
light instead.

Dead Sea (Israel and Jordan): Lowest Point on Earth

The Dead Sea is a salt lake situated between Israel and the West bank to the west, and Jordan to the east. It is 420 meters (1,378 ft) below sea level and its shores are the lowest point on the surface of the Earth on dry land. The Dead Sea is 330 m (1,083 ft) deep, the deepest hypersaline lake in the world. It is also the world's second saltiest body of water, after Lake Assal in Djibouti, with 30 percent salinity. It is 8.6 times saltier than the ocean. This salinity makes for a harsh environment where animals cannot flourish and boats cannot sail. The Dead Sea is 67 kilometers (42 mi) long and 18 kilometers (11 mi) wide at its widest point. It lies in the Jordan Rift Valley, and its main tributary is the Jordan River.

The Dead Sea has attracted visitors from around the Mediterranean basin for thousands of years. Biblically, it was a place of refuge for King David. It was one of the world's first health resorts (for Herod the Great), and it has been the supplier of a wide variety of products, from balms for Egyptian mummification to potash for fertilizers.

Lake Baikal (Russia): Deepest and Oldest Lake in the World

Lake Baikal is located in Southern Siberia in Russia, and it's also known as the "Blue Eye of Siberia". It contains more water than all the North American Great Lakes combined. At 1,637 meters (5,371 ft), Lake Baikal is the deepest lake in the world, and the largest freshwater lake in the world by volume, holding approximately twenty percent of the world's total fresh water. However, Lake Baikal contains less than one third the amount of water as the Caspian Sea which is the largest lake in the world. Lake Baikal was formed in an ancient rift valley and therefore is long and crescent-shaped with a surface area (31,500 km²) slightly less than that of Lake Superior or Lake Victoria. Baikal is home to more than 1,700 species of plants and animals, two thirds of which can be found nowhere else in the world and was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996. At more than 25 million years old, it is the oldest lake in the world

CONFESS FOR SPIRITUAL CLEANSING

Confession is one of the best ways of spiritual cleansing. Here is how you can make it a part of your spiritual regime for a life much brighter, happier and a little more divine.

Who do you confess to: Confession isn't bound to a priest or a church. Very often, the act of confession happens with someone who you're close to; or someone who can keep your secrets. If you're very brave, you can even confess to the person that you have harmed. The important thing is to know you have done wrong.

Confess your own: When confessing, remember that you're apologizing and setting forward the mistakes that you have made. So, don't try to make them seem valid by providing justifications for your behavior. Put aside the 'but she said/did' approach to provide clarifications for your behavior.

Be truthful: Often, our faults seem a lot worse when we hear them out loud for the first time. But that doesn't mean that we cheat and underplay them, make things up or tell half truth. Be honest, confess about the whole deal and come clean. It'll help you attain peace.

Keep pleasantries away: Contrary to popular belief, when confessing to a padri or an official, try to keep the pleasantries and the jokes minimal. Although, you may think that this is a good way to break the ice, from a religious point of view, confession is a very serious act and must be done sincerely to be truly forgiven.

Confess and learn: Confession is just one of the first steps of redemption and hence one must be careful enough not repeat the same mistakes again. This will imply that you are truly apologetic for the blunders that you have made in the past, have repented and are taking efforts not to repeat them.

Make Happiness a New Year's Resolution

Make Happiness a New Year's Resolution

Rallie McAllister, M.D., M.P.H.

If you're still working on your New Year's resolutions, you might want to consider adding "be happy" to your list.

Around this time of year, most of us set goals that we believe will bring us joy: We vow to lose weight, earn more money or buy a new house. As it turns out, the best way to achieve more enjoyment in life may be to take a more direct approach, by simply applying ourselves to the intentional pursuit of happiness.

When Abraham Lincoln said, "People are just as happy as they make up their minds to be," he was on the right track. Most experts agree that sustained happiness depends on more than chance or good fortune -- it requires deliberate control of our thoughts and actions.

Knowing what makes you happy is an important first step to achieving greater pleasure in life. For most folks, happiness is best measured in terms of relationships and experiences, rather than in dollars and cents.

In spite of popular myth, money doesn't guarantee a perpetual state of bliss, especially if it comes too easily. Emory University scientists determined that lottery winners and trust-fund recipients don't derive nearly as much satisfaction from their cash as those who earn it the old fashioned way -- by working.

In an effort to determine whether money can buy happiness, researchers at the University of Colorado analyzed data collected from a national survey of more than 12,000 Americans. The majority of respondents reported that they gained more enduring pleasure and satisfaction when they invested their money in life experiences rather than material goods.

Spending money on others can promote greater feelings of happiness than spending it on yourself, according researchers at the University of British Columbia and Harvard Business School. As part of their study, the scientists gave volunteers either a $5 bill or a $20 bill and asked them to spend the cash by 5:00 p.m. the same day.

Half the participants were instructed to spend the money on themselves, while the other half were asked to spend it on others. The participants who spent the money on others reported feeling significantly happier at the end of the day than those who spent the cash on themselves.

Fortunately, you don't have to spend a single cent to experience joy. Researchers at the University of California, Riverside found that simply doing a few good deeds daily, such as holding the door for a stranger or offering someone a sincere compliment, can dramatically lift your spirits.

Performing random acts of kindness makes the person performing the acts happier, especially when the good deeds are carried out in succession. People who did considerate things for others five times in one day reported experiencing greater happiness than those performing five good deeds over the course of a week.

The same researchers found that practicing gratitude can promote happiness. Study participants who expressed gratitude by writing down five things they were grateful for each week reported feeling significantly happier than those who didn't take part in the exercise.

One of the best ways to improve your state of mind is to surround yourself with happy people. Recent research from Harvard Medical School and the University of California, San Diego suggests that happiness is contagious, spreading among friends, family members and neighbors.

In a study of more than 4,700 people followed over a period of 20 years, scientists found that when one person in a social network became happy, the chances that a friend, sibling, spouse or next-door neighbor would become happy increased by 15 percent. Even better, happiness continued to spread from person to person through three degrees of separation.

Happiness is a critical component of emotional wellbeing, and it plays an equally important role in physical health. In an article published in the Journal of Happiness Studies, researchers reported that happy people are not only healthier, they also enjoy a life expectancy that is seven to 10 years longer than that of unhappy individuals.

Scientists at the University College of London found that blood levels of the stress hormone cortisol were roughly a third lower among happy individuals compared to their less cheerful counterparts. Chronically elevated cortisol levels have been linked to a number of serious conditions, including obesity, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes and heart disease.

Finding joy in life isn't always effortless, but it is entirely possible. Because happiness doesn't always happen by luck or chance, intentionally pursuing it may be the best way to attain it.

Future New Town

Future New Town of Gwanggyo With Plantations Around The Terraces

The new city center designed by Dutch architects MVRDV for Gwanggyo, a city coming up 35 kms from Seoul in South Korea seems to be something taken out of the sci fi movies. Expected to be completed by 2011, the city is sufficient enough to hold 77000 inhabitants and has a design envisioned with two centers which is a mix of housing, culture, office, retail, and leisure and education spaces. Various atriums are created in the towers catering to various categories, with box hedges being planted on the roofs and terraces which in turn improves ventilation and reduces usage of energy and water. The site is surrounded by a beautiful lake and forested hills, the design aims to create a landscape on top of the new program that enlarges the green qualities and that links the surrounding parks by turning the site into a park.

If you don't want other users stumbling over a drive while browsing the computer through Explorer, this tweak may help out.

Although this tweak will render the drive invisible in Windows Explorer, it will still be accessible through Windows' search utility, as well as other third-party file managing applications.

Microsoft Office applications will also be able to access the cloaked drive with no problem.
To cloak a drive, open up regedit and go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Windows/
CurrentVersion/Policies/Explorer.

Create/modify the DWORD value "NoDrives" to match a corresponding drive letter you wish to hide.

Http VS https

Http VS https

The main difference between http:// and https:// is, It's all about keeping you secure

HTTP stands for HyperText Transport Protocol, which is just a fancy way of saying it's a protocol (a language, in a manner of speaking) for information to be passed back and forth between web servers and clients.

The important thing is the letter S which makes the difference between HTTP and HTTPS.

The S (big surprise) stands for "Secure".
If you visit a website or webpage, and look at the address in the web browser, it will likely begin with the following: http://.

This means that the website is talking to your browser using the regular 'unsecure' language.

In other words, it is possible for someone to "eavesdrop" on your computer's conversation with the website.

If you fill out a form on the website, someone might see the information you send to that site.

This is why you never ever ever enter your credit card number in an http website!

But if the web address begins with https://, that basically means your computer is talking to the website in a secure code that no one can eavesdrop on.

You understand why this is so important, right?

If a website ever asks you to enter your credit card information, you should automatically look to see if the web address begins with https://.

If it doesn't, there's no way you're going to enter sensitive information like a credit card
number!

Making your Romantic Dreams come True

Making your Romantic Dreams come True

Are you having the romantic life you have always wanted…in your imagination? Welcome to the club that has many members who feel and live exactly the way you do! Romance is always simple and carefree when it is being acted out in our imaginations. We can come up with the most unbelievable and breathtaking ideas and play scenes that make the best romantic movies look amateur. The only catch to all this however, is that they are developed in our fantasies and stay there, without ever actually taking place in our real lives. Why is that? Why is it so easy for us to fantasize about the most amazing romances, but can never find such romances that really exist? Does it just not happen? Is there no such thing?

No, there is no such thing as a romantic dream come true…until you create its existence. That’s right, you carry the key that will open the magical door to making all of your romantic dreams come true. What did you expect to find out? That someday an invisible wand will be waved over you, miraculously bringing you and your meant to be honey together? Well, if that is what you are counting on and waiting for, prepare to keep on waiting! Do not get the wrong idea here, of course there are situations where two people meet and have an instant connection, but things do not just stop there. Many make a mistake in believing that once they found someone they make a great connection with, everything else will fall into place perfectly and all of their romantic fantasies will come true automatically.

If you want your fantasies to become a reality, then you must introduce them to reality. Our partners are not mind readers, yet we tend to believe they are, expecting them to act out and the things we picture them doing in our imaginations. You do not necessarily have to ask your partner to act a certain way or do a certain thing, but you can introduce your romantic ideas by starting to act them out yourself. This will paint a clear picture for your partner, helping him or her see what kind of romantic personality you have, and what you enjoy. You will also learn more about your partner, because you will see their response to your romantic suggestions, which is why is it extremely important that you do this at the beginning of your dating process, or in the beginning of your relationship. If you do not, you could very well be setting yourself up for deep disappointment.

Romantic Dreams come true when you make an effort to never settle or anything else than what your genuine expectations are from a person. This does not mean you should never compromise however, for nobody will every perfect, including yourself, so keep in mind that there will be times where you will need to find a middle ground with your lover. Not settling for less is meant more on an obvious level. For example, if your romantic dream is to find a partner who loves long walks on the beach and going out for fancy dining and intimate picnics, then do not even bother getting seriously involved with a person who loves staying at home all the time or going out to loud parties with his or her friends. You will only be frustrated later.

Many people choose to get involved with a person who never really fulfilled their romantic expectations from the start, but feel that things will change as their relationship proceeds. This is a mistake often made and one you should avoid making if you ever wish to live the romance of your dreams. Though people can be unpredictable, a persons hobbies and lifestyle can usually be determined in the early stages of dating…after about between 3 and 6 dates. You will be able to observe from your dates if a person carries the qualities you are in search for by paying attention to where they choose to take you on your dates, the way they speak to you, as well as all the other little things that are important to you. It is important that you are also open and honest about your hobbies, lifestyle and romantic qualities so that your date also starts to learn who you really are as a person and can also decided whether or not they feel you are someone they wish to continue dating. If you do not wish to be misled, then do not mislead others either!

Living the romantic life of your dreams is indeed very possible, but requires time, patience and most importantly, being honest with others and yourself about who you really are and what you really want. Accomplishing true romance can only happen when you express yourself freely and confidently. Remember, no one can read your mind and there will be no magical wand that will wave over you. Fate will play a part in who you end up committing to and settling down with, but according for fate to do so, you have to help it out by showing it exactly what it is you are looking for. Fate is like a dating service in a way- in order for it to help you find the right person, you need to give it an honest description of what you are looking for and what you are also not interested it. Once you have done so, stick to it without settling for something you know you will not be 100% satisfied with. In time, you will be living your romantic dream come true with a person who feels the same and the two of you will have the wonderful relationship you have been searching for.

You’re Fired!

You’re Fired!

"You're fired." Some people let the phrase get to them. Others
use it as a launching pad to superstardom. In his book, "We're
Fired...and It's the Best Thing That Ever Happened to Us,"
Harvey Mackay brings us some inspirational stories of rejects
turned-celebrities. Turns out the road to fame isn't so smooth.

Elvis Presley
The King got fired from a music studio in 1954. He was told,
"You ain't goin' nowhere, son. Go back and drive a truck." Tell
that to the thousands of Elvis impersonators who sing his tunes
decades after his death.

Walt Disney
Walt Disney was fired from a newspaper for lack of ideas. The
Walt Disney Company, with its animated movies, theme parks,
television stations and more, is now a multibillion-dollar
empire.

Joanne Kathleen (a.k.a. J.K.) Rowling
The author of the mega-popular Harry Potter books was canned
from a secretarial job after she got caught using the company
computer to write creative stories. She used her severance pay
to write Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, using grant
money to finish it after she ran out of cash. The Harry Potter
series became a global craze and Rowling became a billionaire.

Lance Armstrong
The French cycling team Cofidis dropped Lance Armstrong after he
began treatment for testicular cancer in 1997 (with just a 50
percent chance of survival). They even refused to pay his
remaining salary or his medical bills. Big mistake. Armstrong
not only beat the cancer, but he also won a record sixth
consecutive Tour de France in 2004.

Larry King
Before he ruled CNN, Larry King wrote a column for the Miami
Herald. The Herald's editor fired him for being too chummy with
his subjects. His way with people paid off, though; few
politicians or celebrities ever bypass "Larry King Live."

Burt Reynolds
"You can't act," Burt Reynolds was told when he was fired from
one of his acting jobs. He later became the No. 1 box office
draw for five consecutive years.

Steve Jobs
He co-founded Apple Computer in his garage, and then got fired
from his own company. Jobs picked up the pieces and bought a
majority share in Pixar in 1986. Nine years later, he won an
Oscar for Toy Story. In 1996, he was back at Apple.

Abraham Lincoln
Abe Lincoln failed in business 1831 and again in 1833. In the
meantime, he ran for state legislator and lost. His sweetheart
died in 1835, and he had a nervous breakdown the next year. He
lost the nomination to Congress in 1843, was defeated again for
Congress in 1848 and 1855 and lost the vice presidency of the
United States in 1856. Then he ran for Senator in 1858 and lost.

In 1860 Abe Lincoln was elected president of the United States.
The rest is history.
